This weekend have no plan. Tony decided to spend his day working on the lawn.
Since the weather is so good, I let Ryan having fun outside with his bulldozer and shovel.
While I was cleaning the kitchen, I saw the cut-up winter melon sitting in the fridge taking up the space, don't know what to do with it. Should I try again? I don't want to waste the afford once more but I hate wasting foods too. Why not giving it a try. This time I'll make sure I turn on the timer. After 2.5 hours of cooking, my "winter melon tea brick" (冬瓜茶砖)is made. I'm thrilled!!
Then, I take up the second challenge - bread. On Monday, for the first time I decided to make a bread from scratch. After a long hard-work process, the dough didn't turned out the way it supposed. I was very disappointed.
After much reading and studying the process, my bread is very successful.
Tony says they look like the dinner rolls from the restaurant. It was a lengthy process to make these rolls, you probably can get for less than 2 bucks. However, I just enjoy doing it.
My two failure have turned into success after my second attempt. Looking at the successful end result, the kind of joy is really unspeakable!!!

I love my KitchenAid, it makes life so much easy. One of the reason my first attempt failed because I was using my hands to knead the dough.
